Dragon's Delight

dragon,marshmallows,chinese dragon,dragon painting

I am happy to present this recently finished painting of a Chinese Dragon. It's of course the year of the Dragon, and it also happens to be my Chinese Zodiac sign. But hey, who needs an excuse to paint a dragon anyway? They're awesome, period.

Instead of painting your average cool and ferocious dragon, I chose a different approach. Made him look like a harmless puppy, enthusiastically wagging his tail in anticipation of his favourite snack.
Someone asked me where he got those marshmallows. I reckon the local village people give this to him as an offering, to keep him happy and secure their safety...or something:-)

Acrylic on paper: 30 x 40 cm. (11,8 x 15,7 inches)
